The car was driving around twice as fast as the speed limit on Adlikerstrasse at around 9.45 p.m., as the Zurich cantonal police reported on Sunday. The officers stopped the driver and arrested him on the spot.

After questioning, the man was released from police custody and his car was released. However, the driver had to surrender his driver's license. He faces criminal charges for a speeding offense.

During the speed check, which lasted around an hour, three other drivers were caught. They were each travelling 16 to 21 kilometers per hour too fast in the 50 km/h zone.
