Two Italian girls aged 17 and 15 broke into a detached house in Düdingen in the canton of Fribourg at the weekend. The Fribourg cantonal police were able to apprehend both of them and their stolen goods shortly after the crime, according to a statement.

The two young women committed the burglary on Saturday shortly before 11.30 a.m., as the police wrote in a statement on Monday. They were able to arrest the two suspected burglars shortly afterwards on a public bus. A police dog had tracked down the suspected crime tools, screwdrivers and gloves in a cornfield.

The police seized stolen stolen goods, jewelry and cash from the two Italian women, it was reported. The two had no permanent residence in Switzerland. According to the police, both admitted their offense. They will be reported to the juvenile court.
