In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a patrol of the Basel police apprehended two young motorcycle thieves. They were driving a Vespa stolen in Basel under the influence of drugs and without a license, according to the police.

The two youths apprehended shortly after 3 a.m. on Klarastrasse were two 17-year-old Portuguese nationals living in the region, the report continued. They have been reported to the Basel-Landschaft juvenile prosecutor's office.
