Two men injured each other during an argument in the city of Lucerne on Saturday. They suffered serious stab wounds and cuts, according to Lucerne police.

The argument between a 26-year-old Iraqi man and a 29-year-old Syrian man took place on Saturday afternoon on Baselstrasse, police said in a statement on Monday.

One of the men was driven to hospital by a passer-by, while the other took the bus to hospital on his own.

According to the police, the motive and course of the dispute were initially unknown. An investigation is currently underway.
