Two roofs caught fire within eleven hours in the canton of Lucerne. No one was injured.
The causes of the fire are not yet known, the public prosecutor's office announced on Tuesday morning. The amount of material damage could not yet be quantified either.
The first of the two fires occurred on Monday, 5 p.m., in Wikon. A fire broke out on the roof of a detached house there. The occupants of the house were evacuated. The Wiggertal and Zofingen AG fire departments were deployed.
At around 3:45 a.m. on Tuesday, a fire broke out on the roof of a commercial building in Buttisholz. This fire was extinguished by the Buttisholz, Nottwil and Sursee region fire departments, as detailed in the statement from the public prosecutor's office.
