A kiosk saleswoman was slightly injured in a robbery in Basel on Tuesday. The perpetrator fled with tobacco products. A manhunt was unsuccessful, as the Basel public prosecutor's office announced on Wednesday.

The robbery took place at 11.10 a.m. in the kiosk on Burgfelderstrasse. According to the statement, the man behaved conspicuously in the store, whereupon the 57-year-old sales clerk approached him and a violent confrontation ensued. Witnesses are being sought.
