Eastern Switzerland Victim of the fire in Dietschwil SG has been identified

The victim of last Sunday's fire in Dietschwil SG has now been identified. It is a 49-year-old Swiss man who was a tenant in the burnt-down property. According to the St. Gallen cantonal police, the cause of the fire is still unclear.

Three residents of the house were found unharmed outside the building during the fire. Another tenant was missing. Firefighters later found a body after extinguishing the fire. On Tuesday, it was confirmed that this was the man who had initially gone missing.
