Traffic accident Young motorcyclist injured in a fall in Val Müstair

A motorcyclist fell 30 meters down a bend on the descent from the Umbrail Pass towards Sta. Maria GR in Val Müstair on Thursday. A rescue helicopter flew the 24-year-old German, who suffered moderate injuries, to Samedan Hospital.

The man had been on the descent with his father at 12.30 p.m., as reported by the cantonal police of Graubünden on Friday. Shortly after crossing the border, he lost control of his motorcycle on a left-hand bend.

He veered off the road to the right and fell around 30 meters down a slope. His father, who was riding behind him, and other people provided first aid until the Müstair rescue service arrived.
