- held its first meeting of the new 2024-2028 legislative period.

- approved the results of the cantonal renewal elections by 98 votes to 0. The members of the Cantonal Council and the Government Council were sworn in at the parish church of St. Martin, Schwyz, followed by the swearing-in ceremony at the town hall.

- Max Helbling (SVP, Steinerberg) was elected as its President for the 2024/25 year of office with 98 votes to 0.

- elected the President of Schwyzer Kantonalbank as well as eight members of the Bank Council, eight members of the Education Council and the State Secretary for four years.

- approved the 2023 annual report of the cantonal government by a large majority.
