Church Two new prevention officers for the diocese of Chur
The diocese of Chur has filled the position for prevention work again. With Dolores Waser Balmer and Elena Anita Furrer, two specialists will continue to run the prevention office.

The two women will each share the position 50 percent, the diocese of Chur wrote in a press release on Wednesday.
One of the two specialists has many years of experience in the prevention of power and sexual abuse in the context of the Catholic Church. The other post holder is a theologian who is used to working in the field of training and managing a large organization such as the Swiss Armed Forces.
The two women succeed Stefan Loppacher. He had been the prevention officer for the diocese of Chur since 2019 and established this position. At the end of May, it became known that he had terminated his employment contract with the diocese of Chur.
"Differing views on the structure of the diocesan prevention office" was cited as the reason. Loppacher will take over the management of the new national office "Abuse in the church context".
