Health Uri postpones introduction of the electronic patient file
The canton of Uri will not introduce the electronic patient dossier at the beginning of 2025 as planned. The cantonal government justifies this with "considerable uncertainties" at federal level.

For example, the implementation law that will determine the amount of federal financial aid is not yet available, the Department of Health, Social Affairs and the Environment announced on Friday. In addition, the Swiss Federal Audit Office has recommended that a centralized solution for the electronic patient dossier be examined.
Concerns were also expressed in Uri during the consultation on the cantonal legal basis for the electronic patient dossier. The cantonal government has therefore decided not to submit the matter to the cantonal parliament yet, according to the press release. As soon as the federal government has "clarified key issues", the matter will be taken up again.
