The Swiss swimmers continue to impress at the World Cup in Shanghai. After Noè Ponti set two records on Friday, Thierry Bollin also achieved a national best time.
On the second day of the competition, Bollin lowered the Swiss record in the 50m backstroke to 23.09 seconds, one hundredth of a second faster than his previous best time in the preliminary heat in his showpiece discipline.
In the afternoon, the 24-year-old from Bern will take to the pool again in the final, for which he qualified in third place overall.
