GC Amicitia concedes its second defeat in a row. The Zurich club loses the NLA top-of-the-table clash against Kadetten Schaffhausen 23:28.

The Zurich club, which started the season with three wins, had no chance against last season's double winners despite ten goals from the outstanding Martin Popovski. Schaffhausen, which never trailed throughout the game, extended its lead at the break (13:10) in the second half and took the lead in the table with this success.

The game was played under special circumstances. As the Saalsporthalle in Zurich is currently being used for the World Cycling Championships, GC Amicitia played its home game at its opponents in Schaffhausen. "Switching to another hall in Zurich would not have done justice to the nature of the game," GC President Philip Hohl was quoted as saying on the club's website in the run-up to the game.
