Olympic mountain bike champion Jolanda Neff will miss out on the home World Cup in Crans-Montana this weekend.

As the athlete from eastern Switzerland announced on Instagram, she will continue her respiratory therapy, which she is undergoing due to a narrowing of her vocal cords.

The problem leads to acute breathing problems during very intense physical activity, which also accompanied Neff during her participation in the Tour de Suisse Women, which ended on Tuesday. She had "four tough days on the road behind me. I've made some good progress, but I can't push myself yet," Neff wrote. She left open what her further competition program will look like.

Neff announced at the end of May that a start at the Summer Games in Paris would only make sense if her health situation improved. Together with Alessandra Keller, the 31-year-old has been selected for the Olympic cross-country race on July 28.
