HC Kriens-Lucerne celebrates its second win in the 3rd round of the NLA. The club from Central Switzerland won 38:36 in Schaffhausen and inflicted the first defeat of the season on the champions.
In the rematch of last year's playoff final, Kriens-Lucerne came out on top. However, the Central Swiss side had to tremble for victory until the very end. They squandered a four-goal lead in the second half and briefly found themselves trailing again. After a renewed spurt and a four-goal lead, Schaffhausen came back to within one goal in the final minute. The outstanding player in the visitors' ranks was Luca Sigrist with 15 goals.
While HC Kriens-Lucerne returned to winning ways after the defeat in Berne and took revenge for losing the Supercup, the double winners from Schaffhausen suffered their first loss of points of the still young season.
GC Amicitia remain unbeaten at the top of the table. The Zurich side also had to fight to the end in Thun, but ultimately secured the two points with a 29:28 victory. The Bernese Oberland team are bottom of the table with no points.
