Marquez (Ducati-Gresini) and Martin (Ducati-Pramac) fought an intense battle throughout the race, which ultimately went in favor of the six-time world champion, who won his third Grand Prix of the year, proving that he is once again one of the best. Even if he no longer has a chance of winning the world title.

However, Marquez had a very bad start with a spectacular slip of his rear wheel and found himself in seventh place, while Jorge Martin got off to a perfect start, followed by Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati VR46) and Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati).

The world championship leader quickly extended his lead, while Bezzecchi crashed behind him. However, as in the sprint race the day before, Marquez started an unstoppable chase and after seven laps was in third place behind Bagnaia, whom he quickly attacked, while both riders got closer and closer to Martin.

The three riders engaged in a fierce battle, with the chasing riders quickly closing the gap to almost four seconds, but Bagnaia was quickly caught by the two Spaniards, who pulled away at the front.

Martin was able to withstand the pressure from Marquez until four laps before the chequered flag, but then the six-time world champion overtook him. The Ducati-Pramac rider tried in vain to defend himself, but had to let Marquez go, who crossed the finish line with a lead of almost one second.

Alonso on record course

In the Moto3 class, Noah Dettwiler, who had broken his coccyx just a week ago, finished in 21st place. It was a race in which David Alonso was once again in a class of his own. The Colombian world champion took his eleventh victory of the season - something last achieved by Italian superstar Valentino Rossi in 1997.
