Nicki Minaj 40 minutes late, fans boo
Musician Nicki Minaj makes her fans angry. Her show was supposed to start at 11.30 pm, but the Queen of Rap is 40 minutes late. A DJ bridges the gap until Nicki finally arrives. Instead of leaving, the audience begins to boo. And when she finally arrives, the mood remains subdued during the first few songs.
But as the show progresses, the fans slowly forgive her for her faux pas. They cheer, sing along and put their hands in the air.

Openair Frauenfeld visitors are happy to receive compliments
Rain, gray skies, lots of mud - when the weather doesn't play along at festivals, it can really put a damper on your mood. On Friday evening it rained at Openair Frauenfeld, creating a field of mud on the site.
blue News host Bettina Bestgen wants to lift the dampened spirits of the rap fans and hands out compliments. One visitor catches her eye with his Hawaiian shirt. "It puts me in a summery mood," she says. A broad grin and a thank you are the reaction to her kind words - goal achieved! See more in the video.

Saturday program with Ice Spice, Shirin David and Nicki Minaj
The last day is in full swing: it's a little cooler on the Frauenfeld Allmend on Saturday. Yesterday's rain has cooled things down and made the area muddy. It has become slippery. Visitors have to be careful not to end up in the mud. But rain is somehow part of a festival.
Tonight is all about the women. With Ice Spice, Shirin David and Nicki Minaj, three great female rappers will be performing on the Open Air Frauenfeld stage on Saturday.

The white sneakers are already a bit dirty
So far, Peter has continued to be merciful: the sun is still beating down from the sky on Friday and really heats up the Frauenfeld Allmend. In some places, however, the ground conditions are not quite ideal. But mud is somehow part of the open-air experience.
Already a little dirty: the festival visitors' footwear. Madcom/Tobias BühlerOn the campsite, you can spot white sneakers in front of the tents in many places that are no longer quite so clean. Will they get them clean again after Openair Frauenfeld?

Rapper Xen: "I want to show my kids that they can achieve anything"
He worked on his first album for four years before finally releasing it in 2015. Today, Xen performs on big stages like the one at Openair Frauenfeld on Thursday afternoon - and is a household name on the Swiss rap scene.
The Dietiker comes across as reflective and at peace with himself. But that wasn't always the case: "My first album is called 'Ich gäge mich' and it really was a me-against-me," says the 34-year-old. Working on the album was a form of therapy for him. He believes that many people around him are struggling with trauma.
In the video, the Swiss hip-hop musician raves about being a dad and talks about how rap has helped him.
