Openair Gampel 2022 Macklemore, Limp Bizkit and Mark Forster pass the mic

3.7.2024

The number of visitors may be reduced, but the party is as usual: Openair Gampel thinks less is more - and mixes up the genres at the height of summer in Valais. Here are the headliners for 2022.

Openair Gampel brings US rapper Macklemore back to Switzerland, brings neighbor Mark Forster on stage for pop anthems and rocks the crowd with the veteran Limp Bizkit.

The festival summer with Swisscom blue Music

Swisscom is a partner of the top Swiss open air festivals and will provide unique experiences on site, on the road and from home. Numerous specials and live broadcasts will be shown on blue TV during and after the events. The Swisscom subsidiary blue accompanies selected festivals as an official media partner.

German scandal rappers K.I.Z. and Belgian DJ Lost Frequencies will ensure wild mosh pits and exuberant dancing.

The Swiss participation is also impressive: Hip-hop acts Nativ and LCone will be there, dancehall guru Stereo Luchs as well as Luca Hänni, Jeans for Jesus and newcomer ZIAN will be partying in the Valais mountains.

"Less is more" is the motto of Openair Gampel this year, with the aim of building on the positive experiences of 2021. More air and more space for everyone to dance, the festival writes on its homepage.

The number of visitors has been reduced to 25,000 per day due to the coronavirus pandemic, and tickets have also been given a "moderate price increase". Four- and three-day tickets - the so-called "early bird" tickets - can be purchased at a reduced price until February 13. After that, regular advance sales will start for all ticket categories.

Openair Gampel 2022 will take place from August 18 to 21. You can find the entire program here.
