Gold medal winner Chiara Leone is welcomed by numerous fans at the Maison Suisse. She explains how she perceives the atmosphere in the Olympic village.
After her Olympic victory in the 50-metre three-position small bore competition, Chiara Leone has already traveled back to Switzerland. As the rifles had already been declared to customs, the team had to take the detour via Switzerland, explained Leone on Wednesday evening in the Maison Suisse. Last Saturday there had already been a first reception by the Swiss Shooting Sport Federation at the National Performance Center in Biel.
On her return to France, the 26-year-old was able to enjoy the atmosphere in the Olympic village for the first time. It was very cool to see and experience it all, she continued. It was a completely different feeling to Châteauroux, which is a three-hour drive south of Paris and where the shooting competitions were held.
