The Langenthal municipal council has appointed Marc Häusler as the new town clerk. This was announced on Friday.

Häusler is 47 years old, a lawyer and notary. As town clerk, he will in future be head of administration and secretary to the municipal council. He will take up his post on January 1, 2025, according to a press release.

Häusler succeeds the long-standing town clerk Daniel Steiner. He will step down after 33 years of service.
