This year's Festival du film français d'Hélvetie in Biel/Bienne was attended by 20,000 people. This was announced by the organizers on Sunday. This means that 2800 more people saw the 20th edition of the festival than last year's 19th edition.

Four cinemas were available this year - one more than last year. Efforts to make the film festival accessible to German speakers were continued: Several flicks were shown with German subtitles and there were panel discussions with simultaneous translation.

A total of 62 films were shown. The festival organizers awarded several prizes.
