A cyclist suffered serious injuries in a fall in Silenen UR shortly before midday on Sunday. According to her own account, the 24-year-old briefly looked back, whereupon she collided with the edge of the sidewalk on the right and fell onto the road, police said.

The cyclist was traveling north on Gotthardstrasse in Silenen when the accident occurred. She was taken to the cantonal hospital by the Uri rescue service, it was reported.
