Refurbishment Köniz wants to renovate the Bären hall in Niederscherli

The municipality of Köniz wants to renovate the Bären hall in the Hotel Bären in Niederscherli. The municipal council has approved the corresponding loan, as announced by the municipality.

The hall is important for village life in Niederscherli, but it is in need of renovation and is therefore currently empty, the municipality wrote in a statement on Thursday. In future, it should once again be available to the population for events, meetings and functions.

The approved loan amounts to 525,000 francs. Among other things, investments are required in the interior fittings, electrical and sanitary installations, ventilation and fire protection, the municipality added.

The municipality of Köniz bought the Hotel Bären in 2021 to ensure its continued operation. The hotel is leased and in good condition, it added.
