Zurich Man arrested on suspicion of pedophilia in Zurich

Last week, the Zurich cantonal police arrested a 39-year-old Italian man who wanted to meet an alleged 13-year-old girl. He had previously published an advertisement on the internet seeking girls for sexual acts.

Investigators made covert contact with the advertiser and posed as a 13-year-old girl, as the cantonal police reported on Thursday. A meeting was then arranged. However, the police were waiting at the meeting point and arrested him.

The police searched the house and seized several items. The 39-year-old was handed over to the public prosecutor's office on suspicion of attempted sexual activity with a minor.
