A 58-year-old paraglider pilot landed awkwardly near Weesen railroad station on Monday afternoon due to wind turbulence. He injured his wrist and was flown by helicopter to Zurich University Hospital for further investigations, according to the Glarus cantonal police.

The landing accident occurred at around 3.20 p.m. and the man fell from a height of around four meters. The 58-year-old had taken off from Ruein near Flims GR with the intention of landing in the Mollis/Weesen GL area.
