Last Friday's storms damaged the track of the Rorschach-Heiden railroad. Train services must therefore be suspended until July 19. Replacement buses will be running.

The storm caused landslides and several washouts of the track. Train services had to be suspended immediately. Appenzeller Bahnen announced on Monday that initial work had already been carried out to repair the damage.

The exact extent of the damage is still being investigated. Geological clarifications are necessary. The repair work is expected to last until the end of operations on Friday. The final decision will be made on Wednesday.

Replacement buses will run with unchanged departure times. There will be a direct bus from Rorschach to Heiden and a bus between Rorschach and Heiden. It will not be possible to transport bicycles on the buses.
