The Austrian police have identified a second dead man discovered in Lake Constance. It is an 83-year-old Swiss man from Chur who had been missing since May 2021, according to the police. His identity was established through a DNA comparison.
Two male bodies were found in eastern Lake Constance on June 22. At the end of June, police in Lindau, Bavaria, identified one of the bodies as a 79-year-old man who was also from Chur.
According to an Austrian police spokesperson, there is no information about a connection between the two deaths. The 79-year-old had been missing since November. In both cases, the authorities do not believe that the death was caused by a third party.
