Six people were injured in a car accident between Giswil and Kaiserstuhl on Monday and had to be taken to hospital. Among the injured was a 4-year-old child.

A car driver crossed into the oncoming lane on Brünigstrasse after 3 p.m. and collided with an oncoming vehicle, as reported by the Obwalden cantonal police on Tuesday. The motorcyclist following behind was unable to stop in time and crashed into the rear of the car.

At around 6 p.m., a 51-year-old cyclist in the municipality of Lungern also suffered serious injuries in a self-inflicted accident, the police added. He was taken to a hospital outside the canton.
