Eastern Switzerland Two injured after fire in an apartment in Arbon TG

Two people suffered minor and moderate injuries respectively in a fire in an apartment in Arbon TG on Wednesday night. According to the police, a 61-year-old man and an 83-year-old woman were taken to hospital by the emergency services. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire quickly.

Shortly after 0.30 a.m., the cantonal emergency call center received a report of smoke coming from an apartment, as the Thurgau cantonal police wrote in a statement on Wednesday. On site, police officers discovered flames in one room. The other residents of the apartment building were temporarily evacuated. The property damage amounts to several thousand francs. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
