Latest news USA: Four dead in knife attack - suspected perpetrator also dead

According to police, four people have died in a knife attack in the US state of Washington.

In addition, the suspected perpetrator, a 32-year-old man, was shot dead by a police officer during the attack, said police spokeswoman Shelbie Boyd. Investigators are assuming a case of domestic violence. A no-contact order had been issued against the 32-year-old.

The man stabbed the victims on the street in front of a residential building, Boyd said. Four people, including the alleged perpetrator, died at the scene, and another victim succumbed to his injuries in hospital. Investigators did not initially provide any information on the identity of the victims.
