Gischard represented Switzerland twice at the Olympic Games. The gymnast from TV Herzogenbuchsee experienced the highlight of his career when he won the silver medal on floor exercise at the 2021 European Championships in Basel. The title competitions in his own country seemed to suit him: in 2016 in Bern, Gischard and his fellow gymnasts won European bronze with the team.

Gischard's career has always been marked by injuries. Last year, for example, he had to forgo a third Olympic appearance after 2016 in Rio and 2021 in Tokyo. Now the multiple Swiss champion on vault, floor and horse will perform his program for the last time at the Swiss Gymnastics Festival in Lausanne this weekend.
