Thanks to their seventh success in a row, Davos remain 14 points ahead of Fribourg-Gottéron, who won 3-1 in Zug but only have four games left in the regular season.

The third-placed ZSC Lions are still three points short of a place in the play-off quarter-finals after a 2-1 win in front of their home crowd against bottom-placed Ajoie. Lugano lost 3:4 on penalties against Biel and are now one point behind the Zurich team.

The seventh-placed Rapperswil-Jona Lakers can still hope to qualify directly for the play-offs (top 6). They defeated Genève-Servette 4:1 at home and are still seven points behind Geneva (5th) and Lausanne (6th), who lost 3:2 at Ambri-Piotta after leading 2:0.

The teams in 8th (Zug) to 11th (Biel) are within six points of each other. Bern (9th) conceded 1:1 in the last minute of their home game against Kloten and lost 1:2 after overtime. Langnau (10th) still has a three-point lead over Biel. Despite the win, Ambri-Piotta remained second last and is still one point behind Kloten. Ajoie are now also mathematically in the relegation play-off.

In the first round after the three-week Olympic break, the teams got off to a strong start. In four of the seven games, a goal was scored in the first two minutes.
