In five seasons in the Swiss Super League with Zurich (2), Xamax Neuchâtel (1) and Lugano (2), the scholarly defender, who plays as a striker in the USA, never scored more than two goals. He has now scored once in four consecutive games for Chicago Fire: against Toronto (4:1/a), Orlando (2:4/a), Seattle (1:2/a) and now Philadelphia (h).

Maren Haile-Selassie opened the scoring after 30 minutes. In the final eight minutes, Chicago Fire pulled off a great turnaround from 3-1 down to win 4-3. Loan player Alan Arigoni (from Lugano) played for Chicago Fire like Haile-Selassie.

Chicago remain in 13th place in the Eastern Conference table, three points behind the teams in the play-in places.

Goalkeeper and captain Roman Bürki helped St. Louis City to a 2-0 win over San Jose. St. Louis are now six points behind the play-in places in the Western Conference.
