Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone improves the world record in the 400 meter hurdles for the fifth time, already for the fourth time at Hayward Field in Eugene.
At the US qualifier for the Olympic Games in Paris, 24-year-old American Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone finished in 50.65 seconds on Sunday evening in Eugene, Oregon.
"I didn't expect that," said the two-time Olympic champion after the race. The old record was 50.68 seconds, set two years ago when she won the World Championships in the same stadium.
