Winterthur songwriter Andryy has had a steep rise, which continues this year at the Gurtenfestival. In this interview, he tells blue Music host Daniel Fanslau how he has matured as an artist on stage.
No time? blue News summarizes for you
- The Gurtenfestival is taking place for the 40th time on Bern's local mountain from July 12 to 16.
- Singer-songwriter Andryy has two gigs on the Gurten this year.
- In the video interview, he has to prove his talent for improvisation - as an artist and as an answer-giver.
- Andryy's entire concert at the Gurtenfestival 2023 can now be seen at blue.ch/music.
"I've heard from many people that the Gurtenfestival is the most beautiful open air in Switzerland," says Andryy in the interview. "And I have to say - they're right."
With his concerts on the Waldbühne (which can be seen in full on blue Music) and in the Gurtenbähnli, the Winterthur native has hit the Gurten twice this year.
According to the musician, he has now also matured into a good improviser.
When things go wrong, it gets exciting
Andryy says that he has already had two power failures on stage. But he doesn't panic about it.
On the contrary: "Moments like that are what make you an artist, unlike on YouTube, where everything always looks perfect. But life is not YouTube. It's only when something goes wrong that it often gets really exciting."
You can see how well he improvises when blue Music host Daniel Fanslau asks him questions in the video interview from the blue Music studio on the Gurten.
