The organizers of one of Europe's biggest hip-hop festivals have signed up British artist 21 Savage, German rapper Apache 207 and Shirin David, also from Germany, for this year's edition. US rapper Nicki Minaj is expected to headline the last concert evening on Saturday.
The festival at the racecourse in Frauenfeld is not yet completely sold out shortly before the start. The last tickets in all categories are still available, explained the festival spokeswoman at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency. However, the camping upgrades are fully booked.
Green camping, which was offered for the first time at last year's edition and focused on sustainability, will not be available in 2024. A "lean test run" was launched last year, but the offer was not used as actively as expected, according to the spokesperson.
The first musicians will perform during the "pre-shows" on Wednesday evening. A new addition to this year's supporting program is the so-called "Clubville", where around 130 DJs will be spinning until Saturday.
