Sotheby's also wrote on Thursday that the guitar can be seen on the cover of "Supersonic", the first Oasis single from 1994, as well as in the video clip for the song. According to Sotheby's, two other guitars played by Noel Gallagher were also auctioned off.

The two brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher settled their dispute at the end of August after 15 years and announced a joint tour for 2025. The concert went on sale on August 31 - tickets sold out after a short time.

Founded in Manchester in the north-west of England in 1991, the band is considered a co-founder of the Britpop era and their records with hits such as "Wonderwall" and "Don't Look Back In Anger" have sold millions of copies. The concerts that have now been announced are the first since the Gallagher brothers fell out, which led to the band breaking up in 2009.
