The Tanja Hüberli/Nina Brunner duo is no more, at least for the time being. The pair from Schwyz and Zug have decided to end their collaboration for the time being after nine years.

The end of the successful duo does not come as a complete surprise. The two have been unable to provide any answers to questions about the future of their careers in recent weeks. After winning the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Paris, followed by tournament victories in Hamburg and at the Swiss Championships, they have taken some time out to recover, discuss the future - and make decisions.

Tanja Hüberli will certainly continue her career. "I'm very motivated to keep developing and I still really enjoy my sport. It's incredible what we've been able to achieve together over the past few years. I am also extremely grateful for the whole team, who have always stood behind us and made these successes possible. Of course, it's a shame that we're parting ways for the time being. I would like to thank Nina for everything we have experienced together. We weren't just partners, we became good friends."

Nina Brunner, on the other hand, has decided to take a break from top-class sport after careful consideration. "The last nine years have been incredibly enjoyable, successful, but also very intense. I want to devote myself to having my own family and I'm looking forward to having a little more time for my studies, friends and family. Now is the right time for me. I am infinitely grateful for everything I have been able to experience with Tanja over the past few years. Winning the bronze medal in Paris was an absolute highlight. It was only possible thanks to the many years of support from our staff, the federation, our supporters and sponsors."

Tanja Hüberli will announce her partner shortly.
