After breaking off negotiations on a collective labor agreement (CLA) at Edelweiss in the spring, the airline and the pilots' association Aeropers have come to an agreement after all. They have agreed on the key points of a new collective labor agreement.

Aeropers announced this in a communiqué on Tuesday. "We are pleased that we were able to reach an agreement with the Edelweiss management", explained Aeropers President Clemens Kopetz. Edelweiss cockpit employees have been working without a valid CLA since the beginning of July, after the pilots' association broke off CLA negotiations in mid-April and the old CLA expired.

"In addition to financial improvements, the new agreement also provides for improvements in the social predictability of pilots," Aeropers wrote on Tuesday. The key points of the agreement must now be incorporated into a new CLA.

The new CLA will then be voted on by the Edelweiss members of Aeropers. "It is the common goal of the negotiating partners that the new CLA will come into force from fall 2024," the pilots' association added.
