Northern Switzerland House in Villnachern AG uninhabitable after car fire

A burning car caused extensive damage to a residential building in Villnachern AG on Friday night. No one was injured, according to the Aargau cantonal police. The house is no longer habitable until further notice.

The residents of the house on Dorfstrasse noticed shortly after 03:00 a.m. that the car was ablaze, according to the statement. The meter-high flames quickly spread to the building.

The six occupants were able to get outside on their own and remained unharmed. According to the press release, the fire department was on site with a large team and extinguished the fire by daybreak. The cause of the fire is unclear and investigations are ongoing.
