The Zurich cantonal government is proposing a framework credit of CHF 872 million to the cantonal council for the Zurich Transport Association. This is to cover the deficit for 2025 and 2026. It is CHF 57 million lower than expected in the previous year.

The strategic goal of keeping the cost recovery ratio above 60 percent will be achieved in the two framework credit years, as the cantonal government announced on Thursday.

In the next two timetable years, the cantonal government expects expenses to increase, partly due to the planned expansion of services. At the same time, however, higher revenue is also expected due to the growth in mobility.
