The court considers it proven that the Kosovar man shot an acquaintance on the Landsgemeindeplatz in Zug on a night in March 2024, according to the verdict read out in court on Wednesday. The victim was able to escape with injuries to his upper body and was admitted to intensive care.
The court considered the witness statements naming the accused as the perpetrator to be credible. Together with evidence such as electronic location data, a "clear picture" emerged, as the court president said.
The expulsion is valid for twelve years. The court also found the accused guilty of multiple violations of the Weapons Act and the Narcotics Act and also imposed a fine. The verdict can be appealed to the Zug High Court.
