It starts at 10.30 pm: Rea Garvey's concert at Zermatt Unplugged.
blue Music rocks with you through the festival summer. Here you'll find everything you need to know about the 40th anniversary of the Gurtenfestival. If you can't be there, you can still get the full live experience.
No time? blue News summarizes for you
- The 40th Gurtenfestival takes place from July 12 to 16 on Bern's local mountain.
- The good news for all those who can't be at the Gurten this time: blue Music will be broadcasting the best live concerts.
- Lola Marsh, Veronica Fusaro and Lo & Leduc will be on stageon Saturday. The livestream starts at 6.35 pm.
Why wander far away? Look, the good is so close. What Goethe already knew also applies to the Gurtenfestival this year.
After the first few days were dominated by international R&B, Latin pop and trap, fans of Swiss music will finally get their money's worth on Saturday. Veronica Fusaro, for example, a singer from nearby Thun, will be doing the honors.
Anyone who remembers how convincingly the young singer-songwriter performed on the TV show "The Voice of Switzerland" will be looking forward to her gig at the Gurten. Especially as a Swiss singer is not invited to the legendary Glastonbury Festival in England just like that. But that's exactly what happened to Fusaro in 2019. Her concert at the Gurten starts at 7.40 pm on Saturday.
Indie pop from Israel, hits from Bern
Before there are any more Swiss hits, let's take a quick trip abroad. To Israel to be precise. That's where the indie band Lola Marsh comes from, opening the concert evening at blue Music on Saturday with their atmospheric dream pop at 6.35 pm.
Swiss - or rather Bernese - hits by the meter will be delivered by the two "local heroes" Lo & Leduc from 9 pm on Saturday. The two likeable guys will not only inspire with a lot of wit and just the right amount of depth in their hit "079". Luc Oggier and Lorenz Häberli are also a force to be reckoned with on stage. It's okay to quote Goethe from time to time.
