  • The Gurtenfestival is taking place for the 40th time on Bern's local mountain from July 12 to 16.
  • Thun singer-songwriter Veronica Fusaro has a home game on the Gurten.
  • In an interview from the blue Music studio, she reveals why she gets emotional when she performs in front of her home fans.

She always gets "so emotional" when her family is in the audience. It is therefore quite possible that her performance at this year's Gurtenfestival will evoke particularly strong emotions in Veronica Fusaro.

The singer comes from Thun and only recently moved to Bern. So it would be somewhat surprising if her "friends and family" were not in the audience at her Gurten gig.

Love drama for good songs

The Thun native also likes it when emotions run high. When asked by blue Music host Daniel Fanslau whether she prefers to be in love with or without drama, she replies with a laugh: "Better with drama, otherwise I can't write songs about it."

Which would be a shame. Because the Swiss singer has long since caused a sensation beyond the country's borders with her soulful songs.
