Manchester City win Saturday evening's competitive Premier League match against West Ham United 3-1, with Erling Haaland scoring all the goals for the Skyblues.

Manchester City can once again rely on Erling Haaland. Thanks to the Norwegian, the English champions remain without a point after three games in the new Premier League season. The outstanding goalscorer scored all three goals in the 3:1 victory at West Ham United on the way to a third win.

The 24-year-old has now scored 70 goals in 69 Premier League games - an average of one goal per game for Haaland. An impressive rate. This season he already has seven goals to his name, including two hat-tricks. And of course a record: he is the first player in Premier League history to score seven goals in the first three games of the season. Haaland currently has more goals to his name than any other team in the Premier League.

Hat-trick specialist Haaland puts Kane & Co. in the shade

In addition, the 1.95-meter tall attacker already has eight trebles to his name. The likes of Thierry Henry (258 games), Harry Kane (320 games) and Michael Owen (326 games) have achieved the same number on the island, but with significantly more playing time.

His coach Pep Guardiola is delighted with the performance of his star pupil: "But he was also involved in the game today. He didn't lose a single ball. He played an incredible game, not just with the goals, but also defensively and offensively when it came to making an extra pass," said the Spaniard. For Guardiola, one thing is clear: "There is no central defender who can stop Haaland - not even with a pistol".

But the Scandinavian does not want to sit back. "Some of the boys have six Premier League trophies, I still have some work to do," said Haaland after the game.

Manuel Akanji was also delighted with Haaland's gala performance. The international star celebrated his 100th competitive game for the Citizens against West Ham. "100 games for this great club! 🎉 Couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate than with a solid away win 🙌🏾", the 29-year-old wrote on Instagram after the successful anniversary.
