La giovane artista si è aggiudicata le statuette di Record dell’anno, Migliore artista emergente, Miglior album e Miglior Canzone.
Billie Eilish è stata la protagonista indiscussa della notte dei Grammy Awards.
Allo Staples Center di Los Angeles, la cantante 18enne è stata proclamata vincitrice di sei premi, tra cui i prestigiosi Record dell’anno, Migliore artista emergente, Miglior album e Miglior Canzone, grazie alla hit Bad Guy, in coppia con il fratello Finneas. Il disco della popstar, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, è stato inoltre nominato Migliore album pop vocale.
Lizzo, che ha aperto la cerimonia, e Gary Clark Jr. si sono aggiudicati tre premi a testa; due invece per i Chemical Brothers, Lady Gaga, Tanya Tucker e Lil Nas X.
Durante la cerimonia è stato ricordata la leggenda del basket Kobe Bryant, morto al fianco della figlia di appena 13 anni Gianna, in seguito a un tragico incidente in elicottero poche ore prima dell’inizio della manifestazione. Tributi anche per Prince e Nipsey Hussle.
