The Breakthrough Prize today announced that its seventh annual ceremony, known as the âÄúOscars of Science,âÄù will feature a musical performance by Academy Award winner and four-time Grammy Award winner Lionel Richie, and a special performance by ChinaâÄôs top-selling female artist and Artist of the Year G.E.M., who will perform her song âÄúLight Years Away,âÄù which has achieved more than one billion views in just a yearâÄôs time. 

 

The performers will be joined by a star-studded line-up of celebrity presenters. Hosted by acclaimed actor, producer and philanthropist Pierce Brosnan, the show will take place on Sunday, November 4, and broadcast live at 10 PM ET / 7 PM PT on National Geographic.

 

Orlando Bloom, Ron Howard, Julianne Moore, Thandie Newton, Lupita Nyong'o, Zoe Saldana and G.E.M. will serve as on-stage presenters during the ceremony, which recognizes scientists and scientific achievement, specifically in the life sciences, physics, and mathematics.

La situation politique aux Etats-Unis a au moins un impact positif sur une personne : Lana Del Rey. La chanteuse a expliqué au magazine Q pourquoi Donald Trump l'aidait à faire de la musique.

Lana Del Rey a une muse un peu spéciale... un certain Donald Trump. La chanteuse n'a jamais caché ses sentiments hostiles à l'égard du président des Etats-Unis, mais d'après elle, l'état catastrophique du pays depuis son arrivée au pouvoir a eu un impact plus que positif sur l'écriture de ses chansons.

« Ce n'est pas par hasard si j'arrive à trouver plus de clarté au milieu de crises. Je pense que le chaos apporte plein de moments lors desquels on se dit "Ah tiens c'est bon à savoir". "Ah tiens, tout un groupe de gens pensent comme moi ? Je ne savais pas" », a-t-elle déclaré dans une interview pour le magazine Q.

« Si seulement le curseur pouvait bouger, en terme de crise climatique. La question, c'est de savoir quels dégâts ont été faits en terme de culture et d'environnement », a-t-elle conclu.
